Here comes the...

Bridezilla.

I swear. That "Bridezillas" show should have me for a guest. I'm already getting mad at Pao because of the wedding videographer and video. Hahahaha!

And I'm not even engaged.

Well, technically, that is.

There's this wedding expo thingiemajig going on next Sunday and we plan to attend it. And I just wanna say that I've never seen or known a man who was as a willing and hands-on participant as Paolo when it comes to wedding plans. Seriously. It's absolutely touching.

Even though he's pretty much accepted the fact that I will be the one making all the decisions save for what suit he gets to wear. (Which still needs to be approved by moi =)

Besides, no one should have to fight about getting married. So fellas, early on, try to already accept the sheer and undeniable TRUTH that... a happy wife... is a happy life.

It's as simple as that. =)

  1. Heard that on tv once & couldn't agree more. (:

Inggit naman! We're having this very small wedding on September & I'm planning everything myself. Whenever I ask my fiance about what he wants he just keeps saying "Ikaw na mag-decide" & then when I finally made my decision about something bigla nalang may side comments.

Wish he was like Paolo when it comes to wedding plans! Ugh, men. -_-

  2. well, maybe you just need to reassure him that his ideas won't be met with hostility, hahahaha! some guys feel like they shouldn't meddle since weddings are more "for the girls"... what's important is that the both of you are happy with the plans. =P

    nevertheless, CONGRATULATIONS!! =)

  4. huwatt??? hahahaha!! awww don't cry... it's actually pretty funny how i argue with him. He looks so defeated. Like... it's futile. And i refuse to pay 100k for a videographer. Seriously.

  7. Oh my God did you really say that?! Hahahahaha! Try Alex Franco too, he makes great cakes. He made a 5-tier chocolate one for my brother's wedding. The first and second tiers were walnut chocolate, the third was prune chocolate, the fourth was apple cinnamon and the fifth was mango. And the whole cake was covered in red roses.

Do you two know already if you want to get married in Manila or somewhere else in the country?

  8. No, that's like a fancy three-course meal for 100 guests already. Which videographer is this? Have you looked at Phoeben Teocson?

  9. oh yeah, i mean he and i are pretty much on the same page when it comes to how we want our wedding, i guess i'm more concerned about the cost as there are alot of things i can compromise just to save a few thousand bucks w/o sacrificing beauty and originality, you know. hahaha! tears of joy pala, akala ko kung ano. =P

you should see how i tease him about the ring, hahaha! i keep pre-empting it, reading his phone, reading msgs between him and the jeweler. he gets so annoyed at me when i do that, hahaha!

  10. yes i really did say that, hahaha! i mean, it's frikkin' GOLDILOCKS. hahaha! hmm alex franco, sige i'll keep him in mind. =)

we were actually thinking of having a HUGE ASS WAFFLE for a wedding cake. or a bunch of waffles/pancakes stacked to make one huge cake. hahahaha!!! with a fountain of syrup and butter, hahaha!

oh we're getting married in manila, mos def. it's important to us that our fam and friends can attend. and of course there's the cost. i was never up for a destination wedding. hell, i want all our money to go to the honeymoon in mexico. =)

  11. we haven't looked into videographers... actually... "i" had this idea (hahaha, this is what i was trying to explain to pao while we were "discussing" our plans) that starting as early as now or our engagement, that he and i invest in a good camera and just start collecting video clips of our togetherness --- with friends, family, wherever, whenever. Then come the wedding, we'll have a director-friend put together the most memorable clips that would define our relationship. i just thought that would be more memorable souvenir to have than to just have this production of me getting ready during the wedding and what not. i was looking at these wedding venues, and some of them already include video with the package so i can have two videos. =)

basta, i'm cost-cutting. so kailangan talaga konting diskarte lang, hahaha!!

if you have anymore suggestions, let me know. =)

  12. The waffle cake - genius! The video reel - genius! Most couples get this engagement shoot where they go to some monotone location like Tagaytay Highlands or a resort, and the entire video's just the two of them walking, holding hands, laughing, staring into each other's eyes, more often than not wearing a very Giordano look, with the whole production set to an obscure half bossa half pop song. I can't imagine something like that defining some road to commitment. I'm a believer in reality TV, and I'm the kind of person that stays long after the movie's finished because I'm convinced they'll be showing bloopers and outtakes hahaha.

And yes, everyone's tired and warm and fuzzy - breakfast comfort food at weddings is the way to go! You could have some kind of butter/syrup bar beside the waffles!!! Like olive butter and heavy ass lard Crisco butter and apple butter and peanut butter, and grade-A maple syrup and high fructose corn syrup haha.

Oh my God have you tried Hong Kong streetfood waffles?

  13. well... this is what pao wants... AND I DON'T MIND, I SWEAR. shoot. i'm down for the arty farty but i guess, as a fan of preludes and prologues and long-ass introductions, i want to be able to capture our lives prior to our big day. the mundane, the trivial, the very thread of our own "american quilt" so to speak (have you seen that movie? =). but we'll probably have one of those giordano-inspired wedding videos for the heck of it. so long as it's in the budget. =)

hahaha, pao actually wanted pancake house to cater it, hahaha!! but the wedding cake, we'll have bowls of fruit and other toppings so you can dress your piece any which way you like, hahaha!

and no, i haven't tried HK waffles. =( will make a mental note of that if and when i go. but now, i gotta work on my visa to spain. hehehe.
